Born and raised in Wisconsin this midwest farm-boy loved getting his hands dirty while running around the Ice Age National Wilderness trails. Whether it was foraging wild blackberries for a future provision, hunting for morel mushrooms or scraping together pieces of wood to make functional oddities Nick has always found a passion and interest in the natural world. Organically this led to a degree in horticulture at UW. Nick graduated from The University of Wisconsin in 2008 and learned, through a lot of hard work and experience, how to thrive in both horticulture and business. Nick is our head horticulturist, lead designer and project manager. He does all of Bluebird’s installations alongside a crew of eager, enthusiastic and hardworking budding gardeners.
